MAD TO LIVE RETREATS FEATURED IN THE GUARDIAN!

Mad To Live HQ has been a hive of busy madness and radness, retreat prepping, countless long blacks and general stoke and chatter recently. I was SO excited to have seen one of our favourite all-time scribes,  all-round brilliant woman and legend of the industry Sam Haddad cover the forthcoming Mad To Live Retreat in her run down of "10 Of The Best Surf Locations In The World" recently.  A brilliant piece and needless to say I am made-up about it (and nearly dropped a pot of coffee all overmyself).  Check the full piece below, and thank you so much to Sam and The Guardian!

Surf Dome #WorkYourBikini Interviews

Surf Dome have released some awesome content around their #WorkYourBikini campaign including interviews with myself and the rest of the incredible girl-gang who make up the faces of it.  I love being part of a campaign with such a positive message, especially for a younger audience.  A bikini isn't just for posing in, it's for doing the stuff that gets your heart and smile goin'.  And feeling comfortable and stoked!

Interview on MPORA.COM: Wellbeing Is The New Hedonism

I recently chatted to online zine of all that is action, adventure, wellness and more, MPORA.COM about wellness being the new hedonsim, and how so many of us are now swapping boozy breaks for healthy holidays. I discussed how I used to be a pretty wild party animal back in the day, partial to hedonistic festivals and boozy snowboard trips over the year.  As I started connecting back with fitness and the love I used to have for sport as a teenager, the weekly hangovers began to subside as I got stoked more on breaking a sweat, surfing, and feeling fit and strong.  Of course, I still love a party.  I still knock back some red wine after a long day, dance until the sun comes up and go crazy for a good festival, but I just make balanced choices and have a more balanced life, with feelin' good through living healthy and doing plenty of sport taking precedence.

Surf Dome #WorkYourBikini Campaign Live!

A few weeks ago I hightailed it down to Devon to shoot a secret campaign which has now gone live.  Retailer Surf Dome pulled together a crew of real-life surf, skate, yoga and general stoking your brains out aficionados for a campaign that really taps into that whole vibe I dig of using your body, or in this case, your bikini too, for shit other than just posing.  Shredding waves. Getting sweaty in yoga.  Dancing around bonfires.  Riding ramps and not caring about what you look like, more about how good it makes you feel.

Mental Health Week: An Interview With i-D Magazine

This week as many of you know is Mental Health Week, and it has been incredible to see such a huge national conversation stimulated through charities such as MIND, Heads Together, and by influential media outlets.

i-D Magazine, forever in my eyes the ultimate harbinger of what is cool, current, and highly influential, are one such outlet who have joined in the conversation this week.  I think it's incredibley important that titles like i-D are promoting discussion around mental health, and addressing issues like depression in an honest and open way.  All week on their website they are sharing voices from the fashion industry and beyond, discussing their thoughts, feelings and experience of suffering from mental health issues.

PROJECT ROUND-UP: THE OAKLEY IN RESIDENCE WORKSHOP

As the shutters of The Workshop wound down one last time, I’m finding it hard to believe that our Oakley In Residence project’s residency on London’s Exmouth Market has finished it’s stint as the beating heart of London’s eclectic cycling community this summer. In my remit as a project manager, the Workshop has been a huge part of my professional and personal life this year.  Yup, it’s been blood, sweat and tears, and straight up awesome.
