PRESS
We recently spoke to the brilliant Dose Magazine who have featured an interview with Mad To Live founder Sophie talking all that is Mad To Live Retreats, foundations, burnouts, dreams and more.
I was stoked to ask to be a part of a movement by The North Face spearheaded by their phenomenal athletes including climbing prodigy the incredible Ashima Shiraishi and ultra runner Fernanada Maciel (who recently ran up and down Kilimanjaro in just over 10 hours...) amongst other ground-breaking women. The campaign isn't just celebrating female explorers, but so to speak putting it's money where it's mouth is, supporting equal marketing spend between the sexes at the brand, product development for women, closing the gender pay gap amongst their athletes, and grants and charity partnerships to foster female exploration.
Summer is finally beginning to cast it's glow across what has been an unfathomably long and cold winter. Buoyed up by sunny vibes and a road trip to California, I've penned a piece for my fav women's all-time rock n' roll surf brand, Billabong Womens, hot off the back of the launch of their New Wave collection inspired by Billabong's long-time heritage in surf and the wild and rad bonds of a badass crew of friends.

I was so excited to pick up a copy of the most recent issue of Grazia and find my feature, "The One" in all its glory on the news stands.
Hot off the back of a recent trip to The Nomads Camp with The Action Academy, a co-working retreat where interjected between workshops and talks to help transition you to be a digital nomad/run your own business we tore down the mountains of Morzine on mountain bikes, wakeboarded Lake Annecy and packed more adventure into a week than you can shake a stick at, is my article in SurfGirl Magazine outlining how you, too, can be a digital nomad.
Long-time friend of Mad To Live the legendary Double Olympic Champion Victoria Pendleton (CBE) was spotted discussing her love surfing and Mad To Live Retreats in The Telegraph recently.
Made UP to feature in my favourite, Grazia Magazine's Fit Files for Mad To Live Retreats.
I love fussing my love of travel and writing, and with my recent trip to Amouage in Morocco, I penned a piece for the bible of all that is women's surf and adventure, Cooler. In this piece I explore the emergence of new luxurious surf destinations, and why waves will always be the best place to meet new friends. Check the piece below!
I was stoked to recently feature in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK Magazine. A double-paged spread on shadow boxing movements and exercises that help develop the strength necessary to these punches, check out the piece below.
I was stoked to be a part of an inspirational series of content created by luxe sportswear brand Charli Cohen, WHY I, which looks at the life and passions of the individual, living their life to the full even if things are scary or a big undertaking, Doing It Anyway.
Mad To Live HQ has been a hive of busy madness and radness, retreat prepping, countless long blacks and general stoke and chatter recently. I was SO excited to have seen one of our favourite all-time scribes, all-round brilliant woman and legend of the industry Sam Haddad cover the forthcoming Mad To Live Retreat in her run down of "10 Of The Best Surf Locations In The World" recently. A brilliant piece and needless to say I am made-up about it (and nearly dropped a pot of coffee all overmyself). Check the full piece below, and thank you so much to Sam and The Guardian!
So excited to pick up today's copy of Grazia Magazine and find the amazing piece on the upcoming Mad To Live Retreat in Portugal this Autumn by the brilliant Rose and Chanelle from Grazia!
Surf Dome have released some awesome content around their #WorkYourBikini campaign including interviews with myself and the rest of the incredible girl-gang who make up the faces of it. I love being part of a campaign with such a positive message, especially for a younger audience. A bikini isn't just for posing in, it's for doing the stuff that gets your heart and smile goin'. And feeling comfortable and stoked!
A few weeks ago I hightailed it down to Devon to shoot a secret campaign which has now gone live. Retailer Surf Dome pulled together a crew of real-life surf, skate, yoga and general stoking your brains out aficionados for a campaign that really taps into that whole vibe I dig of using your body, or in this case, your bikini too, for shit other than just posing. Shredding waves. Getting sweaty in yoga. Dancing around bonfires. Riding ramps and not caring about what you look like, more about how good it makes you feel.
This week as many of you know is Mental Health Week, and it has been incredible to see such a huge national conversation stimulated through charities such as MIND, Heads Together, and by influential media outlets.
i-D Magazine, forever in my eyes the ultimate harbinger of what is cool, current, and highly influential, are one such outlet who have joined in the conversation this week. I think it's incredibley important that titles like i-D are promoting discussion around mental health, and addressing issues like depression in an honest and open way. All week on their website they are sharing voices from the fashion industry and beyond, discussing their thoughts, feelings and experience of suffering from mental health issues.
Thank you to the brilliant Eva at Elle Magazine for my interview now live on the amazing Elle website. I gave Elle the lowdown on what motivates me and how to motivate yourself to begin your fitness journey.
Last week I was invited by Beyonce's new fitness brand Ivy Park to join an incredibly inspiring panel of women including Jess Cartner-Morley, the Guardian's Fashion Editor, Hayley Jarvis from Mind Charity and Lauren Cuthbertson, Principal of The Royal Ballet for a discussion at Selfridges exploring the role sport plays in uniting women's physical and mental health, chaired by the brilliant Editor In Chief of Elle Magazine, Lorraine Candy.
